| Quinta de Boeira |
The first references made to the Quinta de Boeira go back to the year 1799.
It was in 1920 that it was acquired by the owner of the Port wine company who turned it into Her Majesty's jewel. For many years it was known as “ Quinta dos Ingleses”.
The family kept the property until 1999, when it was acquired by a partnership exclusively created to restore it.
The current owners, aware that the property is a historical heritage of the city and of the people of Gaia, will faithfully restore it while keeping all its historical features. At Quinta da Boeira you can also visit the extensive gardens and enjoy the magnificent ceramic tiles from the extint Cerâmica das Devesas, dated between 1916 and 1918.

THE MANSION
The Quinta da Boeira mansion is undoubtedly the trademark image of the property .
On the outside of the mansion ,which is classified as city historical heritage, you can observe magnificent ceramic tiles of the already extinct Cerâmica das Devesas, dated from 1916 to 1918. Inside, the main features are the ceiling decorations.
Inside the mansion, apart from the restaurant /bar, there is the “Sala dos Arcos” which is prepared for meetings until 14 persons, as well as an auditorium for about 40 persons in the stalls or as a lunch/ dining room for a maximum of 50 persons.
THE COMMUNITY HALL
The community hall, which is all made up of glass, can take 220 persons seated, allows larger events and therefore a buffet service is preferred.
The most special asset of this space is the view to the gardens and the mansion. Whenever the climate conditions are favourable, the glass doors are opened, creating an open space. Air conditioner space.
AUDITORIUM
The auditorium allows several types of events and it is mostly used for lectures, meetings and workshops. This space can take about 150 persons in the stalls.
RESTAURANT
The restaurant /bar situated on the ground floor of the mansion is divided into 3 rooms: Green Room, Blue Room and Orange Room.
On the first floor we find the bar with vanguard decoration.
The identification of each room is related to the colour of the ceilings and the decoration.
The Quinta de Boeira restaurant/bar – Art and Culture offers a welcoming atmosphere provided by its features and service quality together with the renowned traditional Portuguese cuisine and the exquisite French nouvelle cuisine.
Schedule:
Monday to Saturday, from 12.30 to 3.00pm and 7.30pm to 10.00pm.
